My traditional art is art created by hand using traditional media, it comprises mostly acrylic paintings and pencil drawings, though I do dabble in other media on occasion.

All the hows whats and why fors

I am rather non-conformist and so my art usually doesn't easily fit into the pre-defined boxes of any particular genre, nor am I content to continually paint the same subject matter from dawn till dusk, any subject matter can be subject to my creative whimsy. I love line, form, colour, shadow, light, composition, fantasy, alternate reality, the unexpected and contrasting ideas and concepts ... among many other things. It is with these in mind that I paint, rather than which category my work will fit into. I guess the best I can say when asked to describe my work is that it is my own, whimsical, almost always quirky and ... i hope ... intriguing, captivating and beautiful.

A note on nudes: as an artist I have yet to find anything as challenging or satisfying to paint as the human form, I find that it always brings out the intent of my work more openly and truthfully than any other subject matter. I feel that the naked human form is the truest expression of self, and something that everyone can identify with - being something that everyone has - and I find it very frustrating when I come across opinions that nudes are obscene, distasteful or shameful. I hope that anyone viewing my nudes can do so with an open mind and without bias.
